All of my volunteers had such a great time doing the work, and you do a great job making it both fun and informative.  Thank you!!! Amy Denes, Executive Director of Youth Connection – Wilmette, IL

My daughter talked about it proudly at the dinner table last night. Other parents emailed me saying their kids said it was really fun. Parent of first grader whose class and their parents engaged in a litter pick-up activity at the Skokie Lagoons

I told my friends they should come out with me next time. I felt great actually helping the environment, not just learning about it in school. Eighth grade student after a buckthorn cutting experience

…pass on to Linn (BYNC Board member) our great appreciation for setting up the teacher inservice.  It was a pleasure working with her, and the event could not have been smoother.  …the teachers were engaged and motivated, and I think we have taken one more step in the direction of connecting kids and nature in a meaningful and age-apprpriate way. Heather Burns, Early Childhood Program Manager, Glencoe Park District, referring to a BYNC Connection between the Glencoe Park District and a staff member of the Forest Preserves of Cook County

The Science Curricula in Nature program has already made a significant change to New Trier’s teaching of Biology and I foresee the impact of student experiences outside the classroom with the volunteers of BackYard Nature Center continuing as we go through many more school years. Robyn Ward, New Trier High School, Science Department Coordinator

The SCN project was carried out extremely well, considering BackYard Nature Center is a young and fresh organization, led by a small group of hardy volunteers with a lofty vision.  I commend the leadership and commitment of several members of the board who helped to carry out this initiative.  Their guidance helped tremendously in the initial planning stages, and all throughout the project.
