Embrace the fall season with nature-based activities on and off the water.  BackYard Nature Center partners with Forest Preserves of Cook County to offer a day filled with paddle trips in a canoe or kayak, archery, pumpkin painting, nature play, and more.

There will also be a raffle for boat package that includes a kayak, paddle, spray skirt from L.L. Bean, a certificate for a personal flotation device from Rocktown Adventures, and a two-hour private paddling lesson from Northwest Passage. Sponsored by the Illinois Paddling Council to benefit the Forest Preserves’ Youth Paddling program. Canoe spots are limited.
