Next Generation Science Standards in Nature

BYNC Connects Naturalists with Science Teachers

Classrooms adopting the Next Generation Science Standards are given the opportunity to develop a unique outdoor learning experience with help from BackYard Nature Center's certified naturalists.

The NGN program will be available throughout the academic year, especially when the school's curricular studies span the 3 seasons (fall, winter, and spring).

Wilmette Jr. H.S. has already committed for early May and 2 other schools expressed interest in signing up (as of Nov. 1, 2014).

  • BYNC is also looking for volunteers to serve as on-site leaders in the NGN program.  Training will be provided.  Please contact Daniel Kielson at for more information on this exciting new program.
